Specimen Collection, Transport & Storage

The *'Specimen Collection, Transport & Storage'* section of an SOP should outline the correct procedures for collection of the specimen from its source (e.g. a patient), the transport of the specimen to the laboratory, and the subsequent storage requirements on receipt of the specimen.
